The Mecca of boxing, Madison Square Garden will host WBC No. 1-ranked Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter and heavyweight challenger Jameel McCline when they fight for the WBC Interim Heavyweight Championship. Opportunity knocked for McCline after WBC titlist Oleg Maskaev injured his back in training last week. McCline, who had been preparing for a bout against Vitali Klitschko (slated for Sept. 22, but scraped due to Klitschko injury), is ready, willing and able to make the most of his world title shot.

Mccall was asking for too much money, I heard. As for Dimitrenko, Virchis, (Donnelll) Holmes, and Tua they're all ranked in the top ten but not to my knowlegde showed any interest in jumping in with Peter...
Not too thrilled about Mccline but at least he's better than Golota...
Dimitrenko has limitations, and I doubt his people want Peter; that's actually the one I wanted, and it's a better warmup for an eventual fight with one of the Klits as Dimitr. is their size, just not powerful or as skilled.

I must teach Mr Soprano to use the search feature, and check the manage. Reported yesterday evening 9:04 EST! :owned2:
Peter-McCline is on!
Madison Square Garden is good to go for the WBC world title fight between interim champion Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter and three-time heavyweight title challenger Jameel McCline. Opportunity knocked for McCline after WBC titlist Oleg Maskaev injured his back in training last week. McCline, who had been preparing for a bout against Vitali Klitschko (slated for Sept. 22, but scraped due to a Klitschko injury), is ready, willing and able to make the most of his world title shot, which will be nationally televised.
Yeah...:welcome:

McCline, Ruiz, Golota.. etc... All it takes is to be a name and a King fighter and you'll keep getting a title shot after a title shot :puke:
I just don't see why an unrated fighter gets to fight for the interim title with Peter when there are plenty of better fighters available..
(McCall is ranked 3rd)

It's ok with me, at this point Peter needs action and he deserves to entertain us with a big knockout
