In a rematch to gain the mandatory title shot at WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev, Samuel Peter and James Toney collide on January 6 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Peter is no longer satisfied with just beating James Toney, he is focused on knocking him out. Peter won a split-decision when the two fighters met on September 2 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. But, the WBC ordered a rematch after many observers felt that Toney should have been given the decision.

Peter tells The Vanguard, that Toney made the biggest mistake of his career when he signed for a rematch.

“I have got dynamites in my two hands and I will crush James Toney once and for all. The Toney camp made the mistake of their lives by protesting and seeking a rematch. I am ready to teach him a bitter lesson”, said Peter

Ivaylo Gotzev, Peter’s manager, said the Peter won the first meeting, and the truth shall be told when he meets Toney in the ring for the second time.

“A lot of guys already knows what Samuel brings to the table and that is dynamite in both hands. Once you come face to face with him, you are in for the fight of your life."
