Henry Rivalta from "Rivalta Management" recently signed undefeated Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Samuel "El Macho" Figueroa 5-0-0 (3 KO's), who is now training at the IMP Gym under the instructions of Cuban coach Maury Ramos.

"I'm happy to be here training with the coach Ramos, and I'm also very happy with the treatment I received from Mr. Rivalta and everyone in this company. I hope everything works out for the best, and we will do our best for this opportunity," Figueroa said.

Samuel Figueroa, 23 years old, was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico. and from the very young of 12 he was forged as an amateur boxer in which he had around about 200 fights. During his time as amateur athlete, he had the opportunity to fight great fighters with even some achievement in the Olympics and other major tournaments such as the Pan American and world championships.

He debuted as a professional on October 14, 2011 at the Coliseo Rafael G. Amalbert in Juncos, Puerto Rico - defeating by TKO Jonathan Garcia in four (4) rounds. His next fight was at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 3rd, 2012 as part of the event where Miguel Cotto defeated Antonio Margarito in rematch in 9 rounds, beating Shabazz Ibrihim by split decision in 4 rounds.

In his last fight on December 22, 2012 - Figueroa earned his fifth victory by defeating Omar Serrano by TKO in the first round. Then he was out of action due to family problems and is now under the Rivalta Management banner he expects to return to take a leading role in this weight class and for that Figueroa is training very hard in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
