A battle between heavyweight contenders Sam Peter (32-2, 23KOs) and Eddie Chambers (33-1, 18KOs) has been finalized to take place on March 27 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. ESPN will televise the fight. It is the first boxing event at Nokia to feature heavyweight contenders.
Peter returns from a one-sided TKO loss to Vitali Klitschko, suffered last October in Germany. Chambers has been 3-0 since losing a twelve round decision to Alexander Povetkin last January. Both are ranked high by the IBF, with Chambers at number 3 and Peter at number 5. A win will more the winner one step closer to a mandatory title shot.
2008 U.S. Olympian, Shawn Estrada and lightweight prospect John Molina will appear on the undercard.
