Sam Bowen has a new foe ahead of his ring return.
The Leicester super-featherweight will defend his British title at the Morningside Arena in his home city on Saturday.
Bowen had been set to take on the Dundee man Ronnie Clark, exclusively live on BT Sport.
But after ‘The Shark’ withdrew through injury, it has been revealed that ‘The Bullet’ will take on Ryan Wheeler.
Wheeler (14-0-1) was last in action in October last year, two weeks after Bowen’s last outing, when he outpointed Giovanny Martinez at the Dolman Exhibition Hall at Bristol City Football Club.
The card is packed with talent as Sam Maxwell takes on Spaniard Kelvin Dotel for the vacant WBO European super-lightweight title, Anthony Yarde returns in a defence of his WBO Inter-Continental light-heavyweight title against Travis Reeves and Jack Massey is set to take on a foe to be confirmed for the vacant WBO European cruiserweight title.
CJ Challenger meets Kyle Haywood for the vacant Midlands Area super-welterweight crown and there is action for heavyweight Nathan Gorman, Tommy Fury, Leon Woodstock and Callum Blockley, with Mark Chamberlain, Ryan Hatton and Ryan Garner completing the line-up.
