The negotiations for a rematch between Vasyl Lomachenko (7-1, 5KOs) and Orlando 'Siri' Salido (43-13-4, 30KOs) will resume this week. But the manager of Salido - Sean Gibbons - is confident that there is a high possibility of seeing them in the ring again at the end of March, in California - and obviously he believes that once again he believes that 'Siri' will create a repeat of the first outcome.

Gibbons, visiting Monterrey to support the return of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., told ESPN Deportes that he's submitted their monetary terms to Lomachenko's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, and now he's waiting for an acceptance or a counter-proposal.

"The negotiations have already begun, but as Bob Arum went to New Zealand they will resume [this] week. I have no doubt that once we sit down and talk about the fight, it is going to happen because Salido wants the fight, Lomachenko wants the fight and we all know it will be a great fight," Gibbons said.

Gibbons believes his fighter has the recipe to overcome Lomachenko for a second time. Lomachenko - currently the WBO super featherweight champion - was defeated by Salido back in 2014, in what was the Olympic gold medal winner's second pro fight.

"Salido knows how to beat Lomachenko, as he's demonstrated before and he is not a fighter like Nicholas Walters or 'Rocky' Martinez. I think he has his number and no doubt it will be a great test for Vasyl with a high percentage that Salido will win again," said Gibbons.

Everything depends on the money. Salido wants a fair amount of money for rematch.

"We are not asking for anything extraordinary, only what Salido deserves. He beat Lomachenko, he's coming off a draw with [WBC champion] 'Bandido' Vargas, and he never has a boring fight. We can fight at any venue in California - but if they want Lomachenko to continue fighting in a small place like Cosmopolitan then they can look for someone else," Gibbons said.
