Featherweight Orlando Salido (34-11-2, 22KOs) acknowledges that he has a lot to gain and little to lose when he steps into the ring on April 16 to challenge Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez for the featherweight championship of the World Boxing Organization (WBO). Salido says there is only one strategy to beat Lopez in Puerto Rico, to attack trhe champion in every round of the fight.

"Perhaps  alot people think that I am not at the level of Lopez, but I'm prepared to give him a good fight. I consider myself a strong fighter and I have a good chin. I think I defend very well and will not allow myself to get hit. [The only plan is to] attack, attack, attack. The fight will be in Puerto Rico and I can not wait to see what happens [with the scoring]. I have to take the fight to Lopez in order to try to convince the judges," Salido told Carlos Gonzalez.

Saldio lost a twelve round unanimous decision to Yuriorkis Gamboa in September. He says the training camp for this fight is much different.

"For this fight, I was missing certain members of my team and I could not train properly, but they are with me for this camp and I'll be ready. Lopez is a strong puncher and I prepared well for his right hand," Salido said. " opez likes to stand and fight and I know that I can adapt to his style, so I must be well prepared."
