London Olympic middleweight champion Ryota Murata has set up the longest fight of his pro boxing career—a 10-round bout—although if it’s like his three previous fights, it will be over long before going the distance.

Murata will face Mexico’s Jesus Angel Nerio in a 10-round nontitle fight on May 22 at Shimazu Arena Kyoto, it was announced Monday.

Murata, who held an open sparring session for the media in Tokyo, said he was working on sharpening his right punches. “A boxer presents an aura when he has a right straight that penetrates,” he said.
