It's clear that another edition of 'SuperFly' - - featuring the 115-pound weight division - will take place in the early part of 2018 on HBO. The initial installment of this series took place on September 9th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The main event featured Srisaket Sor Rungvisai stopping Roman Gonzalez in four rounds in defense of his WBC belt.

In many ways this card was designed around the talents of Gonzalez, who in 2017 has lost twice to the Thai boxer. Some have speculated that 'Chocolatito' may retire but that may not be the case. There is a possibility that he will appear on 'SuperFly 2'.

"I'm in discussions with Mr.(Akihiko) Honda to see if it's possible. We would love to have him on the show," said Tom Loeffler, the lead promoter for SuperFly, to BoxingScene.com.

When asked about the date for this card, Loeffler told BoxingScene.com - "It looks like February of next year, we're finalizing what other fights will be on the show. The main event will be Rungvisai versus (Juan Francisco) Estrada and we're just looking at the other fights."

Estrada narrowly defeated Carlos Cuadras back in September to earn this shot at Rungvisai.

"It's become a very popular brand for boxing, especially in the lighter weight divisions and a lot of people have expressed interest world-wide to be on the show because it's a great platform for that weight division which has been over-looked by the boxing media for a long time," said Loeffler.

As for who else might be involved this time around, Loeffler stated - "Any of the 115-pounders are in the running. You have the Filipino fighter,(Jerwin)Ancajas, the Arroyo brothers, McJoe and McWilliams, have expressed interest, 'Chocolatito' has expressed interest, Carlos Cuadras, would be a great addition to the show, again. Brian Viloria has expressed interest,(Kal)Yafai has expressed interest.

"So I think there's a lot of great names and it's just a matter of coming up with the right combinations that make sense."

So where will this card land?

"We had great success with putting in in Los Angeles and it make sense to come back to the west coast for 'SuperFly 2,''' answered Loeffler.
