Super bantamweight prospect Roy "Pitbull" Tapia (10-0-2) returns to the ring on August 6th at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles when he takes on Juan Hernandez (18-5-1) in the latest edition of Golden Boy's series, LA Fight Club. Fox Deportes will broadcast the televised fights.

"My trainer now is Gilbert Valdez," said Tapia. "Most of my career I have had the same style so regardless of my opponent I am going to go in there and put on a lot of pressure and throw a lot of punches.  After my last fight I wasn't able to do that - for more than one reason - and I decided to leave my coach and go with Gilbert."

Tapia said that he has bonded with his new coach and is now a more versatile fighter.  He said that Valdez isn't changing his style, but adding to it.

"He has a real good eye for boxing and he knows how to adjust on the spot. He knows I am a brawler and he can train me that way but he also knows how to box as move and how to set everything up. He has given me a 'Plan B' now that I didn't have before," Tapia explained.

As for what the fans can expect on Thursday night, Tapia said they won't see the same fighter who fought to a draw in his last fight.

"They will see a real sharp, fast Tapia. They will definitely not see the fighter they saw last time," Tapia told BoxingScene.com.
