It was announced that the cruiserweight bout between Roy Jones Jr. and Danny Green will land in Sydney, Australia on the tentative date of November 21. The venue has not been anounced but Green's team members have told reporters that a large venue is in the process of being secured. Jones has captured titles middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. He never fought at cruiserweight and attempts to win the fringe IBO title that Green picked up last weekend.

NSW Premier Nathan Rees told SBS that Jones-Green will be the biggest boxing event in the history of Australia. There is a big plan being mapped out to promote the fight with many media and fan related events.

"This will be the biggest fight ever staged in Australia and it will be beamed to all points of the globe," Rees said. "Sydney gained a global reputation for delivering the biggest and best events, like the Olympics, the Rugby World Cup and World Youth Day. Today's announcement shows Sydney's stamp of excellence continues to help deliver results. After his sensational performance [against Dominguez] I'm sure Australian fans can't wait to cheer Danny on in their own backyard."
