According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Roy Jones Jr. may use current WBA "regular" super middleweight champ Anthony Mundine for his training camp in preparation for fighting Felix Trinidad on Jan. 19 at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Roy Jones Sr., who trained Mundine for his bouts with Mikkel Kessler and Danny Green, has reached out to Aussie fighter with a proposition of training with his son for a three week period. There is also talk of Mundine making his American debut on the Jones-Trinidad undercard.

Mundine has a title defense scheduled on December 10 with Argentina's Jose Alberto Clavero. Once that bout has been concluded, Mundine will make a decision as to whether or not he will train with Jones or land a spot on the undercard. After sitting on the shelf for months with an eye injury, Mundine wants to get as many fights under his belt to prevent rust.

"I'm not sure yet if I will be on the card. We haven't had that confirmed, but it would be good to do," Mundine said. "I'm thinking about going at the start of the year to train for three weeks with Roy and then going to the fight."
