According to BoxingScene's Keith Idec, several sources indicate that light heavyweight contender Omar Sheika (27-8, 18 KOs) has reached a deal for a fight with former four-division champion Roy Jones Jr. (52-5, 38 KOs) on March 21. The fight will take place in at the Pensacola Civic Center in Jones' hometown of Pensacola, Florida.

Jones, who turned 40 on Friday, is coming off a one-sided decision loss to Joe Calzaghe from last November. Sheika has battled with inactivity and weight issues over the last few years. He last fought in September, stopping journeyman Tiwon Taylor in four rounds.

The Jones-Sheika encounter may end up headlining an independent pay-per-view that Jones will promote under his company, Square Ring.
