Former four-division champion Roy Jones Jr. says that he can knock Joe Calzaghe out when the two collide on November 8 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Jones will not come to the ring looking for a knockout, but he believes that his punches are harder than those of Bernard Hopkins and Jeff Lacy and if he lands a shot on Calzaghe's chin, the fight may be over.
Jones seems to have convinced himself of a possible stoppage after watching Hopkins drop Calzaghe in the first round of their April bout. He doesn't believe that Calzaghe will be able to survive if he lands the same exact shot.
"I know that I hit harder than Bernard. But it's about timing. Jeff Lacy hit harder than Bernard as well, but he didn't get close enough to Joe to hit him. I think there's a wonderful possibility that I stop Joe, but you can't go into the fight looking for a knockout," Jones said to Setanta Sports.
