Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. seems to be a mega-star in Russia even well past his fortieth birthday. According to Nikolay Baklanov, vice-president of Kirill Pchelnikov’s promotional company, his next fight against someone named Hani Atiyo (14-2, 10 KOs) of Egypt is already a huge sellout. Tickets for the fight, which will take place this coming Friday at Basket-Hall arena in Krasnodar, Russia, have been completely scooped up since last week.

Jones Jr. (58-8, 41 KOs) will risk his WBU strap in the main event of the Andrey Andreev’s memorial. In a co-feature, recent Boxcino participant Fedor Papazov (15-1, 10 KOs) will take on rugged Dominican upset artist Felix Lora (18-12-5, 9 KOs) in a scheduled ten-rounder.
