Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. continues to be a enemy of Ukraine.
A few months ago, BoxingScene.com reported that Jones was being added to a list of individuals who "threaten the national security of Ukraine." The harsh decision on Jones was made by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. His name has since been officially added to that list.
The position of Ukraine is an obvious response to Jones' decision to become a Russian citizen, which the country's President Vladimir Putin personally approved.
Jones has pledged his loyalty to Russia and their athletes. He plans to run a school in the country and train their local fighters, amateur and pro. The first task at hand is to train WBA super middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov for his rematch with Felix Sturm on February 20th.
Besides the training, the 46-year-old fighter has shifted his ring career overseas. On December 12th in Moscow, Jones was knocked out viciously when former cruiserweight world champion Enzo Maccarinelli battered him with big punches in the fourth round of the contest.
