Later tonight at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, Israel Vazquez (42-4, 31 KOs) will defend his WBC super bantamweight title against Rafael Marquez (37-4, 33 KOs) in the third and final chapter of their Mexican rivalry.

If the third fight is anything like the first two, the trilogy is certain to be one of the greatest of all time and one could make a valid argument that it's a better trilogy than the one contested between Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales.

Last March, Marquez moved up to 122-pounds and got off the floor to stop Vazquez in a seventh-round shocker. During their trades of vicious leather, Vazquez suffered a broken nose and told his corner after unable to properly get air in his lungs. The two went war once again in August. Once again Marquez got off the floor, but this time Vazquez was able to finish him off in the sixth-round by quickly capitalizing on his hurt opponent to force the stoppage.

"I am very focused on this fight.   Physically, I am 100 percent.   Mentally, I'm very relaxed.   The winner of this fight is going to be the public. Obviously, I want to win the fight, but I know Marquez very well, and I know what he's capable of. I know what I'm capable of.   But, this fight is the fight for the people.   That's why we're doing it again," Vazquez said.

Now they come together for the third-time in twelve-months to settle the score. I don't expect anything less than what we witnessed in the first two meetings. Like the first two, the third will not go the distance.

"I'm not nervous at all about this fight.   I've been taking care of myself very well, and I'm focused on the fight.   I know Vazquez very well, so I'm waiting for March 1 to have a great fight.   Obviously, the fans are the ones that are the winners," Marquez said.
