Later tonight at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, California, former two-division champion, Joel "El Cepillo" Casamayor (35-3-1, 21 KOs), will face WBO-interim lightweight champion Michael Katsidis (23-0, 20 KOs), from Toowoomba, Australia.

A crossroads battle between a 36-year-old, 12-year ring veteran, and the 27-year-old lightning rod who is starting to make a name for himself. Casamayor is coming off the worst performance of his career. Last November he won a split-decision over Jose Armando Santa Cruz in New York's Madison Square Garden. Other than two of the official judges, almost every ringside observer scored a one-sided decision in favor of Santa Cruz. Some say he had a bad night, while others view the performance as a sign of a good fighter turning old.

Katsidis is quickly becoming the "The New Arturo Gatti." He bleeds. He throws a lot of punches. He gets hit, often. But, he's able to prevail in the face of adversity. He goes up against the biggest test of his budding career.

In the co-feature, a super middleweight slugfest with Librado Andrade (26-1, 20 KOs), taking on Robert Stieglitz (31-1, 19 KOs). The winner moves on to possible title shot.
