At Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California, middleweight prospect Bastie Samir (4-0, 4 KOs) returned after a near two year layoff to stop Jacob Alvarez (0-2) in the first round of a scheduled four. A combination of power shots sent Alvarez down near the end of the round. He beat the count but the referee Raul Caiz Sr. felt he was too hurt to continue. It was Samir's first bout since December 2008.

Welterweight prospect Antonio Orozco (8-0, 5 KOs) with a six round decision over veteran Humberto Tapia (15-15-1, 8 KOs). All three judges had it scored 60-54.

Salvador Rios (1-0, 1KOs) made his professional debut as a welterweight, stopping Stephen Rubalcava (0-2) in the second round.

Featherweight propsect Ronny Rios (12-0, 6 KOs) stopped Leivi Brea (17-9-3, 9 KOs) in the fourth round after two knockdowns via bodyshots. The second knockdown saw Brea stay down for the full count of ten.
