Cuban amateur standouts Ronny Alvarez and Pedro Veitia have signed with Boxlab Promotions.
The pact is part of a promotional collaboration between Boxlab Promotions, Dreambigg Boxing, and Warriors Boxing.
The two fighters are currently training in Providence, Rhode Island, with coaches Dave Keefe, Mike Veloz, and Hector Bermudez. Alvarez, a super middleweight, won gold at the 2022 IBA World Youth Games, while Veitia, a junior middleweight, won a bronze in that same tournament.
Alvarez, 21, has started his career out 3-0 (3 KOs), and Veitia, also 21, is 5-0 (5 KOs).
“We are truly excited to welcome Ronny Alvarez and Pedro Veitia, two exceptional Cuban talents with proven international pedigrees, to the Boxlab family,” Amaury Piedra, President of BoxLab Promotions. “Their skills and discipline set them apart, and their early professional success shows they are ready to make waves in the sport. This partnership allows us to provide these athletes with the structure and opportunities they deserve. Together, we are committed to guiding Ronny and Pedro toward world championship magnificence.”
“I believe this partnership will launch my career to new heights, and with the right fights, I will show the world my true potential,” Alvarez said. “Becoming a World Youth Champion prepared me to compete at the highest level. My amateur experience gives me the confidence to know I’m on the fast track to a world title as a professional.”
“To have three major promoters believe in me at this stage of my career is an honor. With this team behind me, I know my career is in the best possible hands,” Veitia said. “My amateur background taught me discipline, precision, and how to win against the best in the world. That foundation will carry me quickly to the top of the professional ranks and, ultimately, to a world championship.”
