Ronnie Heffron and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Callum Johnson are some of the top prospects on the Liverpool Echo undercard on July 16.

The show will be headlined by Ricky Burns, who defends his WBO super-featherweight title against Nicky Cook.

But promoter Frank Warren is also packing the undercard with some of his brightest talents.

Johnson took gold at last year's games in India, and has won his first two professional fights.

And heavy-handed Heffron could be knocking on the door of a title shot later this year.

The exciting 20-year-old from Oldham has won his first five fights, three of them by stoppage.

Meanwhile, local lads Joe McNally, Joe Selkirk and Paul Butler will also be in action.

Butler, who hails from Runcorn, won an ABA title as a teenager and is regarded as a potential world class fighter.

Southpaw McNally is unbeaten in eight fights, while Joe Selkirk has six victories from six starts, including an impressive victory over Steve O'Meara last time out.
