Lightweight Jose Roman will fight Luis Solis in a scheduled 10 round bout on May 16th at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, CA. Both fighters will be vying for a regional title belt.

Roman (16-1-1, 12 KOs) is coming off a first round knockout over Lauro Alcantar on April 25th, also at the Doubetree Hotel in Ontario. He has won his last two bouts since losing an eight round split-decision to Robert Osiobe in December of 2012.

Roman figures to get a more strenuous test against Solis (13-2-4, 10 KOs). The fighter from Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico is coming off a sixth round stoppage victory over Orlando Ramos on November 1st. He has won his last two bouts since losing a 10 round unanimous decision to Steve Jamoye in March of last year.

Super bantamweight Juan Reyes will fight of Isaac Zarate in a scheduled eight round bout.

Reyes (10-1-2, 1 KO) was victorious in his last fight on October 18 in Ontario, topping fellow prospect Daniel Roman over eight rounds. Reyes is unbeaten in his last seven bouts.

In his last bout on February 28th, Zarate (7-1) won a six round unanimous decision over Christian Torres in Ontario.

Light flyweight Sindy Amador (11-1, 1 KO) will defend her IBFA world title against Maria Suarez.

Amador won the title by defeating Amaris Quintana by unanimous decision on October 25th in Temecula, CA. In her previous fight, she lost an eight round split decision to Jolene Blackshear on July 26th, a fight where she was knocked down twice.

Suarez (8-0-1) has built an unbeaten record while mostly fighting in California’s Central Coast.

A press conference will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario. The fight card coincides with Thompson Boxing celebrating 14 years of promoting boxing in Southern California’s Inland Empire.
