Daniel Roman had a few hard-luck losses early on in his career. Now he is on the verge of becoming someone to reckon with in the junior featherweight division.
Roman returns to action on Friday night against Daniel Noriega in a 10 round bout at the Doubeltree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.
The bout will top a six-bout "Locked N' Loaded" card, presented by Thompson Boxing Promotions.
Roman (15-2-1, 5 KOs) has won his last seven bouts in a row, a streak that has lasted almost two years. In his last bout on May 29, Roman won a one-sided eight round decision over former fringe contender Chris Martin.
Roman is signed to Thompson Boxing.
Noriega (28-9-1, 15 KOs) has won four of his last five fights. He won a 10 round unanimous decision over Jesus Limones in his last fight on April 17.
Friday will Noriega's first fight outside of his native Mexico.
In the eight round co-feature, junior bantamweight Isaac Zarate faces Jesus Serrano.
Zarate (11-1-1, 1 KO) won a hard-fought six round decision over Fernando Fuentes on May 22. Serrano (8-2-2, 6 KOs) has won his last two bouts.
Welterweight Hector Serrano (18-3, 6 KOs) will fight Miguel Zuniga (13-6, 8 KOs) in an eight round bout and Jose Haro (9-1-1, 6 KOs) faces Jair Quintero in a six round lightweight bout.
