LOS MOCHIS, SIN - 22-year-old Rodrigo “Gatito” Guerrero showed that he has what it takes to become the world monarch, after an amazing fight without complications against Vic Darchinyan, when they fought for the super flyweight title of the WBO on March 6 at Rancho Mirage in California. Guerrero lost by close decision in 12 rounds.

Nobody believed that “Gatito” Guerrero will last more than 3 rounds against the strong Armenian fighter, but he fought bravely for twelve rounds to a surprised world champion and even hurt Darchinyan several times, making an excellent fight and people recognized his talent.

And this Saturday in Los Mochis on the event "Actitud de campeón" Rodrigo Guerrero will be taking an important step in his goal of being crowned a world champion when he faces Filipino Federico Catubay (25-16-3, 16 KOss) in an IBF title elimination for the super flyweight in a twelve round contest.
