Rodolfo "Fofo" Hernandez will look to continue his march toward a world title shot, something expected to happen as soon as possible.
With a record of 19 wins, 17 knockouts, two losses and one draw, Hernandez, who boasts national titles, including the North American Boxing Organization (NABO), and the WBC Continental Latino Americas belt at 122 pounds, is considered to be in position to get a world title shot. On Friday he faces Josimar Olivares in a ten round bout at junior featherweight.
In the co-feature, Monterrey's Alejandro "Chosen" Barrera (15-0, 13 KO's) will face Diego "Artist" Rivera, in a ten round welterweight welterweight bout.
Daniel Evangelista (8-0, 7 KO's), will seek his ninth win when he faces Richard Carmona (5-4-1, 3 KO's) in a six-round super featherweight bout.
Japanese warrior Shoky "Shayayin" Sakai continues to campaign in Mexico, where he has amassed six wins, four of them by knockout, in exchange for a loss, and faces Raul Hinojosa over six rounds at lightweight.
Another boxer who is willing to get a new chance to fight for a world title is Eric Ramirez, who takes a six-round flyweight bout with Ramon Pena.
And the pupil of the "Warrior" Ana Maria Torres - Yazmin Marin - faces talented Lovato Minerva in a six-round flyweight bout, while Marco Acosta vs. Kevin de la Rosa happens over four rounds at junior middleweight, and Denis Martinez vs. Gonzalo Rodriguez will take place at welterweight over four rounds.
