At Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California, David Rodela (15-3-3, 6KOs) edged out an eight round split decision over Eric Cruz (7-3-3, 7KOs) The scores were 77-75 on two cards for Rodela and 78-74 on the third card for Cruz.
Bantamweight contender Jose Navarro (27-5, 12KOs) won a six round decision over an overmatched Benji Garcia (14-15-3, 1KO). All three judges had it 60-54.
Golden Boy's hot prospect Frankie Gomez (3-0, 3KOs) made it three in a row by blowing out Akeem Akinbode (1-3-1, 1KO) in less than a minute of the first round of a junior welterweight contest.
Lightweight prospect Jesus Rodrigues (2-0, 0KOs) won a four round decision over Jesus Juarez (0-1, 0KOs), who was making his pro debut. The scores were 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37.
Ramon Valadez (1-0, 0KOs) won a four round decision over Javier Romero (0-4-1) in a junior welterweight contest. The scores were 40-36 on all three cards.
