David Escamilla has the tools and the trainer to become something special. He is trained by Mark Longo and managed by Henry Delgado, who manages Mike Alvardo and has the ‘in’ with Top Rank.

Escamilla has benefited greatly from being in the gym with Mike Alvarado. It must also provide great motivation to know how far his team took Alvarado. A round robin between Escamilla, Estrella, Rodriguez and Galvadon would be a fight fans dream.

Looks, style, flash, speed, power and charisma, Estrella has it all.  His ability to outbox you or stand and trade with you, makes him a devastating weapon inside the squared circle.  The knock on Estrella is fluctuation of weight, fighting between 128-145 during his young career.  Hopefully in 2015, he gets this under control and doesn’t fight above the 130lbs.  I would like to see him step up his level of competition as well.
