The former junior lightweight champion of the WBO, Roman "Rocky" Martinez (25-1-1, 16 KO's) is reportedly going to on August 4th in Guaynabo, as part of the undercard to the comeback of Ivan Calderon (35-2-1 and 6 KO's), who faces WBO 105-pound champion Moises Fuentes (14-1, 6 KO's) of Mexico. The event will be produced by PR Best Boxing Promotions and Zanfer Promotions, and at the Coliseum Mario 'Quijote' Morales.
Martinez lost his championship on September 4, 2010 to Ricky Burns by unanimous decision. He returned on October 1, 2011 and knocked out Daniel Attah in six rounds. Martinez has been waiting and eager to return to the ring.
