WBO super featherweight champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez (27-1-2, 16KOs) says he is ready to face Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26KOs) - if he defeats Juan Manuel Lopez (33-2, 30KOs) on Saturday night at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Martinez is going to be ringside, watching the fight with plenty of invested interest. Martinez is close friends with Juanma and both fighters would prefer not to fight each other unless a very large purse was guaranteed for both.

Garcia is likely moving up to 130-pounds, win or lose, as he failed to make weight on Friday and lost his WBO featherweight crown on the scale. Garcia was two pounds over the limit, coming in at 128-pounds.

Even prior to Friday's weigh-in, there had already been some discussion about Garcia moving up to the super featherweight division to challenge Martinez.
