BoxingScene.com was informed that Rocky Juarez (28-4, 20KOs) is interested in a showdown with WBO super featherweight champ Nicky Cook (29-1, 16KOs), who dethroned Alex Arthur last Saturday for the title.
While there has been some talk by Golden Boy Promotions regarding a possible bout between Juarez and WBA featherweight champion Chris John (41-0, 22KOs), Team Juarez would tell BoxingScene that Rocky has is not keen on moving back down to 126-pounds.
There is also some lingering anger over the breakdown of the John-Juarez negotiations from a few months ago. While John's team insists that Juarez took too long to sign a contract, forcing their decision to go with another opponent, Juarez insists that he was ready to fight and was snubbed by John.
