Two new WBC champions emerged in Munich, namely Austria's Eva Voraberger who needed only 73 seconds to win the vacant WBC Women's Silver Super flyweight Championship by stopping previously unbeaten Alexandra Lakatos from Hungary.
At the same show local hero Flamur Mehmeti defeated Georgia's Ramazi Gogichashvili by unanimous decision to win the vacant WBC Youth World Cruiserweight title.
Voraberger and Lakatos who both weighed in at the Super flyweight limit of 52.1 kg (115 lbs.) wasted no time but went straight to work after the opening bell.
Impetuous 17-year-old Lakatos stormed out of her corner attacking Voraberger with a furious flurry of punches. But the experienced Austrian moved well to get out of harms way and knocked her opponent down with a pinpoint counterpunch. The young Hungarian beat the count but was hurt.
Voraberger followed up with a well timed combination forcing referee Maurizio Rinaudo to stop the fight after 1:43 minute of the first round.
In the second title fight of the night, 23-year-old Mehmeti (89 kg / 196 lbs.) earned a ten-round unanimous decision win over Gogichashvili (90.2 kg. / 199 lbs.). Judge Ernst Salzgeber (Austria) scored the bout 99-91, Goran Filipovic (Germany) saw it 98-91, Irene Kostenko (Russia) scored it 100-89. Mehmeti tried to control the mostly ugly fight from the ring center but the gutsy Georgian stayed competitive and dangerous landing hard left hooks every now and then. In the final round, referee Maurizio Rinaudo deducted one point from Gogichashvili for repeatedly taking his head too low.
"Steko's Fight Night" took place in front of a capacity crowd of 2,500 fans at Zenith Kulturhalle in Munich, was promoted by Mladen Steko, a former kickboxing World Champion and broadcast on Sat.1.

World Boxing Council featherweight champion Jelena Mrdjenovich of Canada retained her crown after drawing against Frenchwoman Stephanie Ducastel on Saturday topping the Bill at Schiltigheim in Bas-Rhin, France.
The fight was entertaining with see saw action throughout. This is the second consecutive fight that the champion has had in France against local rivals.
In a crowded Auditorio Centenario of Gómez Palacio, Durango; Roberto "El Massa" Ortiz and Diego "Demoledor" Cruz fought a fierce draw In a vibrant fight with cards 114-114, 114-114 and 113-113 in a duel with the FECARBOX super lightweight belt on the line.
Taller Diego used his height and reach to land with some sinking and eye watering body shots in the opening round, with Roberto dipping down and finding him with some crisp clipping jabs to the head. Both decided to really fight and test the other in round two, with Roberto picking his punches appreciably better. A right hook to the head rocked Diego, and a follow up left hook also landed square and hard. By the end of the round Diego had collected a nasty crescent shaped cut under his right eye. His corner did an excellent job in controlling and staunching the bleeding while keeping down the swelling, for the rest of the fight.
Roberto hadn`t escaped damage either! By round four, his nose was bleeding, and continued leaking blood from time to time. From the midway point the action slowed in pace and was marred by constant yet not deliberate head clashes. Roberto tends to dip down to avoid hooks and then bring his head up again abruptly. He received an official warning and a single point deduction for this in round eleven.
After the eighth round, two of the three judges had Roberto marginally ahead, but he started to lose energy and tire, which gave younger Diego the last gasp opportunity, to come on stronger in the concluding rounds, to pull back a draw.
