New York - Former multi-division champion Robert Guerrero (33-4-1, 18 KO's) has been idle since his January defeat to Danny Garcia this year. Guerrero returns next month against a rather unknown Argentine opponent in David Peralta.

"Robert's got a tough fight against a tough guy from Argentine," DeCubas told BoxingScene.com. "He's not known but those unknown Argentines are always tough. Matthysse and Maidana were unknown and they become known."

DeCubas was on hand in New York City during the at the Leo Santa Cruz vs. Carl Frampton promotion, because he handled and advised Frampton during his month long stay in the United States before his fight with Leo Santa Cruz. When the best fight the best, everyone wins according to DeCubas. That was the case when his fighter Guerrero took on Garcia.

"The Garcia fight was a good fight where the best fight the best and really no one loses," explained DeCubas. "A lot of people I know thought Robert won the fight and a lot had Danny winning but it was a great fight, that's what matters."

Should Guerrero be victorious, DeCubas wants a showdown with former four division champion Adrien Broner in the fall. A few years ago, Broner and Guerrero had a tense verbal confrontation in California when they ran into each other at an Andre Ward vs. Chad Dawson media event in 2012.

"Robert will be at 147," said DeCubas Jr. "He's going to get this fight and hopefully we get the win. If things come out as planned, one fight we want to see is him versus Adrien Broner - its a fight a lot of fans want to see, two big names in boxing and great styles meshing."
