With three knock downs in the first round, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero ( 16-0-1 9 KOs) pummels Sammy Ventura (22-15) in route to his 2nd consecutive NABF featherweight title defense. The first knock down was a straight left to the neck that sent the veteran to the canvas with force. Then a right hook-straight left combo toppled Ventura a second time.
Finally "The Ghost" ended the battle with a ferocious right hook to the temple 2:05 into the round. The countdown to Dec. 2nd on SHOWTIME begins now, as Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero will fight for an eliminator to contend for a world title in 2006.
