Rob Frankel Calls Out Cesar Holguin For March 6th

There is a situation developing on facebook between ‘Red Hot’ Rob Frankel and Cesar ‘Rattlesnake’ Holguin. The two have been going back and forth a bit after Frankel issued the following challenge:

“Cesar Holguin March 6th you and me last couple of fights for me. I want to fight you and a choice few others? You in it or your not? Steve Mestas let’s do this. Public call out to Cesar!!!”

Frankel’s promoter, Steve ‘Match Makin’ Mestas says he wants to put the fight on:

“Ok bro well I bought March 6th, Frankel my main event, we offer you the fight. It’s a evenly matched fight. 8/10 rounds I’ll put some kind of belt up … You got plenty of time to train.”

Mestas goes on to say “A belt will be put up. WBC Intercontinental Championship will be on the table.”

In speaking with Mestas he’s made it very clear.

“We want to do this fight, it’s a good match-up, 50-50 type of fight and it’s good for Colorado. I helped Rick Lopez and New Generation out by putting Manuel Perez on their show in November. Hopefully Rick and New Generation will be kind enough to repay the favor and put Cesar on my show March 6th.”

Text messages and emails to Rick Lopez and New Generation Fight Promotions have not been answered to this point of publishing.

Another great match-up Mestas mentioned being interested in putting on March 6th is Colorado Springs Joey ‘Beast’ Montoya against the hard hitting and undefeated Reyes Diaz.

“This one has to happen sooner or later. I want to see this one, myself.”

We will keep you updated as the card develops.
