This Saturday night from Save Mart Arena in Fresno, California, a junior welterweight contest between two undefeated fighters, Jose Ramirez (20-0, 15 KO's) and Mike Reed (23-0, 12 KO's) takes that that will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Freddie Roach, who trains Ramirez, said of their upcoming foe - "He's more experienced than most of our other opponents but he's a southpaw he'll give us a little bit of trouble but Jose's in great shape and he's a very busy fighter and I feel this guys kind of made for us a little bit and I think it's a great fight for us."

Reed has stated that Ramirez is your ''average Freddie Roach trained fighter,'' to which the renowned trainer responded - "Well, I think that is a compliment because I've had like fifty world champions so maybe Jose's 51. So OK, I have good fighters. I have better fighters than he is."

Roach added, "I have five guys that can beat (Reed), c'mon lets face it, I do."

''Pressure's the key and that's what we do best," added Roach.

A win over Reed will send Ramirez straight into a final world title fight in 2018. The WBC has already sanctioned the fight between Ramirez and Amir Imam, world-rated No. 3 and No. 1, respectively, for the vacant WBC super lightweight world title.

Roach believes he is ready.

"Definitely yes, the thing is he's 20-0 now, he's had a lot of pro fights, had a great amateur background, came out of the Olympics. So yeah, he's definitely ready for a title fight," Roach said.

The ESPN telecast will also feature top-rated contenders Artur Beterbiev (11-0, 11 KOs), a Russian native who fights out of Montréal, Québec, Canada, and Enrico Koelling (23-1, 6 KOs), of Berlin, Germany, battling for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight title.
