Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, who handles Manny Pacquiao, is confident Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) will fight again - and the veteran coach believes the retired boxer will target a rematch with Pacquiao.

Mayweather, 39-years-old, retired from the sport last September after winning a lopsided decision over Andre Berto. Since making that decision, he's been focused on the day to day operations of his promotional company, Mayweather Promotions.

Pacquiao also announced his retirement, back in April, after winning a dominating decision over Timothy Bradley. The retirement was short-lived, with the Filipino fighter challenging WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas on November 5th from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

A few months back, and on two separate occasions, Mayweather visited Roach's gym, the Wild Card, which is located in Hollywood, California.

Roach has no idea why Mayweather had visited his gym, but he has a sneaky suspicion that the retired former five division world champion was looking have a conversation with Pacquiao regarding a potential rematch.

Their fight from last May, which Mayweather won by decision, shattered every financial record in boxing. Their fight generated more than half a billion in revenue and sold 4.6 million pay-per-views - a number that is likely going to stand for a very long time.

"First I'd like to know why he visited me twice two months ago. He came by my gym. The first time I was here, the second time I was in Russia. He wanted to watch the sparring and watch my guys work out," Roach said.

"I asked him if he was looking for Manny Pacquiao. He kind of smiled and ignored everything. I don't really know why he came here, but why else would he come here? I think he's looking for Manny Pacquiao. I think that fight can be made."

"[Mayweather will] be back [in the ring] for sure. I think that he's back for sure. He's not done either. He's still a good boxer, he's still fresh, he's not the most exciting guy in the world to watch but he's still a good boxer, he is."
