Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao, agrees with Top Rank's Bob Arum on the workrate factor. He says Pacquiao's workrate will be the key to victory against former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey on March 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas. He doesn't think Clottey is active enough. Clottey's activity was an issue in his fight against Miguel Cotto. He had Cotto in a lot of trouble during the fight; yet he let the win get away by not throwing enough in the final few rounds.

“Clottey is passive,” said Roach to Tempo. “Manny fights every second of every round and Clottey doesn’t do that. He just raises his arms."

Roach still sees a tough road ahead. Clottey is a very tough opponent with a physical style that will test Pacquiao's ability to fight big welterweight opponents.

“It is still going to be a hard fight because Clottey is big and strong," Roach said.
