Former lightweight champion "Bam Bam" Brandon Rios (33-2-1) is excited to finally get back in the ring. On November 7th he faces Tim Bradley at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rios hasn't fought since his three round destruction of Mike Alvarado in January to win his trilogy with the brawler from Colorado. The 29-year-old hasn't fought since then and let it be known he wasn't happy with the long stretch of inactivity.
"It will have been 10 months when I get in the ring. It's been 8 months (out of the ring) since this fight came up. It is what it is. I am happy that a fight came up," said Rios.
Bradley is an excellent boxer but in recent years has been more willing to stay in the trenches and engage his opponents. His fights against Ruslan Provodnikov, Diego Chaves and his rematch against Manny Pacquiao were fought in this manner.
Rios expects the same thing when Bradley steps in the ring with him.
"This is the way I see it, he is going to try to box but once he feels the relentless pressure that I put on him - the war is going to come out of him and he is going to fight," Rios old BoxingScene.com.
