Rock & Sock Productions, in association with KO Promotions and Independent Jewelers, have finalized the bouts for their second “A Ring of Their Own” production entitled “World Title Wave” in Edmonton, Alberta. “World Title Wave” will take place at the Shaw Conference Center on Friday, November 18, and be available live on Pay Per View in Canada and world wide via broadband distribution. Bouts begin at 9:30 PM EST (7:30 PM MST) in Edmonton.
This card features an unprecedented four world title fights. Scheduled to appear are Edmonton’s own Jelena Mrdjenovich (13-1-0) against Kansas City, Kansas’ Franchesca “The Chosen One” Alcanter (15-6-1); Chicago’s Leatitia “Baby Girl” Robinson (13-0) will defend her belt against Kalispell, Montana’s Shelley Burton (6-2-0); Tampa, Florida, native Chevelle “Fists of Steel” Hallback ( 24-4-1) defends her title against Belinda “Brown Sugar” Laracuente, (22-11-2); with pound for pound favorite Jr. Featherweight world champion Lisa “Bad News” Brown (12-1-2) fighting amateur star Jeanine Garside (3-0) of Windsor, Ontario, in an all-Canada match-up.
All bouts are scheduled for ten rounds.
AROTO matchmaker Wanda Bruce is excited at being back in Edmonton and also thrilled at the prospect of having four championship bouts on the series’ first ever pay per view show. “As usual, we will be bringing boxing fans competitive matches that have become our trademark,” stated Bruce. “This will be the greatest assemblage of women boxers ever on one night.”
