Las Vegas, NV - The newly crowned WBA super bantamweight world champion Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux is furious. The boxer was present at ringside on Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, to watch Nonito Donaire capture the vacant WBO super bantamweight belt with a twelve round split decision over Wilfredo Vázquez Jr.

The unbeaten Cuban is alleging that HBO, Donaire, and even his own promoter, Top Rank, refused to acknowledged his presence at the Alamodome.

Rigondeaux (9-0, 7KOs), expressing his anger via telephone, complained that "HBO, Top Rank and even Nonito Donaire didn't want to mention anything about my presence [at the venue] or even a possible fight with [Donaire]."

Additionally, the two-time Olympic gold medal winner was angered by the post-fight interview involving HBO's boxing analyst Larry Merchant, who spoke to Donaire without a single mention of a possible fight with the other reigning champions at 122-pounds.
