The pride of Manchester has suffered another blow, Ricky Hatton's nutritionist and strength/conditioning coach Kerry Kayes has quit his team. Daily Mail reports that Kayes' departure is connected to Hatton's firing of longtime trainer Billy Graham.

Kayes is said to be the man most responsible for getting Hatton down in weight and getting his body in top shape. Between fights, Hatton blows up to as much as 160 to 180-pounds, depending on what you believe. Hatton received the nickname "Ricky Fatton" for his long history of packing on some major pounds between fights.

Hatton challenges IBF junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi in Las Vegas on November 22, and will now do so with Graham, who trained him for over eleven-years, and Kayes - regarded as the most important member of Hatton's team by some insiders. The timing could not have coime at worse time with Hatton set to begin camp for the Malignaggi bout. Kayes told people that he and Graham are a team, and without Graham - he refuses to be involved.
