Former two division champion Ricky Hatton doesn't expect WBA heavyweight champion David Haye to retire in October. In the weeks leading up to his July 2 unification with WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko, Haye has promised to retire from the sport of boxing. The Manchester star had recently retired himself, and says it's very hard to walk away when there are other things left to accomplish. Hatton is very confident about Haye's chances to pull off a dominating performance against Klitschko.
"I think he's going to go out there and shock everyone. I don't think David has one foot out the door because he's too big to do that. How many times did Floyd Mayweather say that it was his last fight to get the pennies up. I'm sure that he wants to fight in Vegas. Everyone wants to see their name in the bright lights of Vegas," Hatton told Sky Sports.
