Former two division world champion Ricky Burns (37-5-1, 11 KOs) will face Prince Ofotsu (15-4, 11 KOs) on August 1st at the Craven Park Stadium, Hull, Yorkshire.

Burns is looking to bounce back with a victory after losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Omar Figueroa in May. Figueroa was unable to make the junior welterweight limit for the fight and came in pretty heavy. Burns was unable to overcome the size advantage and plans to drop back to the lightweight ranks.

Burns holds one win in his last five ring outings.

Ofotsu has been out of the ring since a December TKO defeat at the hands of hot prospect Richard Commey. Prior to that he had a six fight win streak.

The August card, televised by Sky Sports, will be headlined by domestic cracker between Tommy Coyle and Luke Campbell.
