RICHARD POXON has been appointed Hatton Promotions, Director of Boxing.
He has been the company’s matchmaker since June 2009 and Richard's new role will see him involved with contract negotiations and spotting new talent for the ambitious promotional outfit.
Poxon said: “I have enjoyed every minute of my time working alongside a very professional team at Hatton Promotions.
“Everybody is focused on adding to the number of champions already fighting for us, and we are looking at some of them fighting on the world stage in the next few months.
“My new role will see me supporting Ricky Hatton and our CEO Gareth Williams and having a wider role with our fine stable of fighters.”
Poxon has worked in boxing as a trainer and matchmaker for more than a decade.
Williams added: “Richard’s knowledge of boxing is fantastic and he is an invaluable member of a team whose one goal is success for Hatton Promotions.
“Richard worked with him when Ricky during his time as a world champion and it has been fantastic having him on board.”
