Richard Abril Decisions Reyes, Hernandez Stops Duran

At the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, junior middleweight Joey Hernandez (17-1, 10KOs) picked up his second win since being knocked out in two rounds back in February by Ed Paredes. He decked Mexico's Saul Duran (37-17, 30 KOs) in the second with a left hand and then trapped him against the ropes with several unanswered combinations before the fight was stopped.

In the main event, lightweight Richard Abril (13-2) won a ten round unanimous decision over Jose Reyes (23-9). The scores were 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92. Abril returning for the first time since January's close split decision loss to Hank Lundy.

Luis Ortiz is going to make some major noise in the heavyweight division. He had an amateur record of 343(w)-19(L). stopping zack page is no easy task....he's only been stopped twice previously..and he has a few wins over undefeated fighters. definitely look out for Ortiz, he's one of the best kept secrets at the moment. He's very dedicated also.
