Alexey Ribchev (19-11-1, 6 KOs) has vowed to silence Danish middleweight Abdul Khattab (9-0, 3 KOs) when the fighters go head-to-head on February 7 at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn.
The 21 year-old, Khattab had previously claimed he would be ‘’too fast’’ and ‘’too clever’’ for his Bulgarian opponent, leading to an impassioned response from the boxer known as ‘The Fish’.
‘’On February 7, I will silence Khattab,’’ said Ribchev. ‘’I will teach him to respect his elders and show him why experience in the ring is so important.
‘’Khattab may have fast hands, but I’m stronger and I will break him! That’s why I’m coming to Denmark. My goal is either to knock him out or force him to retire. The fans can look forward to a spectacular fight. I promise, Khattab will not hear the final bell!’’
Micki Nielsen’s (16-0, 12 KOs) WBC International Cruiserweight title challenge against Julio Cesar Dos Santos (27-3, 24 KOs) tops the bill at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, which also features the WBC Baltic Welterweight title showdown between Kim Poulsen (26-1, 7 KOs) and Anthony Yigit (11-0-1, 4 KOs), Dennis Ceylan’s (12-0-1, 6 KOs) rematch with Cristian Montilla (6-3-1, KOs) and rising Danish star Rashid Kassem (6-0, 3 KOs).
The Nordic Fight Night is available to watch live on TV3 Sport 2 (18.00-21.00) and TV3+ (21.00-0.00). Tickets are available via arenanord.dk.
