Lightweight Reyes Sanchez (20-3, 11KOs) is confident that he'll be able to beat Antonio DeMarco (24-2, 18KOs) when they clash on February 26 in a WBC lightweight eliminator in Nebraska. Sanchez is in great shape and working hard in camp. Sanchez has been studying videos of DeMarco and says that he discovered many flaws. He wants to use DeMarco to get the opportunity for a full title shot in 2011.
"I have about 30 days to work hard. The fight will be tough, but I get the win in any way. I've seen videos of Antonio and he makes many mistakes, he throws the right hook with a straight left. I want to be king of the world and I must prove I'm ready," Sanchez said. "[Fighting him outside of Mexico] doesn't worry me, because eventually it's just going to be me and him in the ring. He usually fights against much shorter fighters. I imagine after that loss to Edwin Valero, he still has some after-effects."
