Undefeated Rey Vargas (17-0, 15KOs) knows he’s ready to fight for the world title but first he has to be focused on his next fight against Ernie "The Rock" Sánchez this Saturday in Chihuhua, Mexico.
Vargas is well aware of the dangerous rival he will face. Sanchez is not only a training parter of Manny Pacquiao, but also has a very similar style to him.
Vargas said: “I’m excited for this fight. I know I will face a very tough fighter, who’s very fast and has a great defense but I will prove I’m the best in this fight and that I’m ready to fight for the world title”.
Vargas’ manager, Hall of Famer Nacho Beristain said:
“Rey is a very skillful fighter, very disciplined. If he keeps working like he has been doing it, he will become a champion”.
Vargas leads the card “Tres Tipos de Cuidado” promoted by Promociones del Pueblo with the support of Cerveceria Corona and Cemex Tolteca.
