René and Felix Alvarado, the up and coming twin fighters, maintained their unbeaten streaks by knocking out Bismarck Alfaro and Jose Martinez in the main event battles of an interesting card that was organized by the company Nokcaut Promotions at the Casino La Perla in the city of León, Nicaragua.
Taking the fight in the featherweight division, Rene (13-0, 8KOs) put away the experienced Alfaro in two rounds. This were a rematch of their fight from December which Rene won in three rounds. As was the case in the first fight, Rene dominated the action and got the knockout.
For his part, Felix also looked consistent in knocking out Martinez in just 1:56 minutes of the first round. A solid body attack sent Martinez to the canvas in the first and he could not recover in time. Nobody had expected a victory so resounding from Felix, because Martinez was able withstand round of punishment from Carlos "Chocorroncito" Buitrago. Felix improved his record to 10-0 with 9 knockouts, while Martinez fell to 9-16.
