Polish finest middleweight around Grzegorz Proksa (21-0, 14 KOs) was added to a boxing card, arranged at Newport, Wales, by British promoter Barry Hearn. The card will be held on November 6 at Newport Leisure Centre.
Proksa, a refined boxer-puncher originally from Jaworzno but now residing in Redhill, will put his EBU-EU title at stake against experienced Belgian veteran Jamel Bakhi (21-3-2, 5 KOs). Proksa will fight for the first time under a guidance of his new trainer Fedor Lapin (a head coach for a number of Polish fighters including WBC cruiserweight titleholder Krzysztof Wlodarczyk).
Former WBA light welterweight champion Gavin Rees (33-1, 15 KOs) takes on unbeaten prospect John Watson (13-0, 5 KOs) for a vacant British lightweight title in a main event. Comebacking crowd-pleaser Bradley Pryce (30-8, 18 KOs) collides with journeyman George Hillyard (10-5-1, 5 KOs) in another supporter.
